How to Avoid the “Wallet Data from remote device has different Master Password” Error When Syncing

For Premium Subscribers and Trial Period customers wishing to change their Master Password, it’s important to first sync your data before you change your Master Password. That way you can avoid a mismatch between your local data and the server data, which could result in the error message: “Wallet Data from remote device has different Master Password”. It’s also important to keep the server updated after you make Master Password changes, thus we recommend the following steps when you are changing your Master Password:

1)      Synchronize your data.

2)      Change your Master Password.

3)      Synchronize your data.

Repeat the steps above using the same Master Password on all Moxier Wallet devices (including PCs and Macs) that you are syncing to.

NOTE: To sync data to one or more devices, all devices must have the same Master Password.

Changing your "Master Password" online, only changes your login password for the website, it does not change the password for the stored data (which was encrypted with your old password).  Therefore, you can never retrieve your data if you change your password on say, your android device, because as soon as you change it (even if you sync just before like suggested above) this new password will not match the password of the stored data online...!!!

The solution - never change your password, on either device or website.

Seriously thinking of un-installing this app and going with a better free one...

I'm having the same problem. I agree. I'm going with a different app.
